Working in Serbia from Nepal: a candidate’s guide

For a useful first enquiry, give your nationality, current country of residence, preferred occupation and recent experience. Ask which employer and role are available for your circumstances. A country appearing in a programme catalogue does not mean every applicant qualifies for that destination.

For Serbia, the published candidate service fee is €3,450. This is a private service price. Before paying, request an itemised offer covering included work, extra expenses, payment stages and cancellation terms. Recruitment and fee rules in your home country also need to be checked for the arrangement offered to you.

The Department of Foreign Employment provides a public foreign-job search with employer and country filters, pre-permission records and recruitment-agency information. If a Nepal-based agency presents a job, compare its details with the official record and ask DoFE which labour-approval steps apply to your route. Serbian immigration approval and departure formalities in Nepal are separate checks.

• Keep the employer name, destination, occupation and wages consistent between the job demand and the contract offered to you.
• Ask who will arrange any required labour approval, orientation, medical checks and insurance. Record the responsible organisation and the cost of each item.
• Save the job reference, written contract and receipts where you can retrieve them independently. Use an email account and phone number you control.

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists a visa requirement for ordinary Nepal passports. Passport type and personal circumstances can affect the applicable entry rule. Check the official country visa page before applying.

Serbia’s official portal explains that an employment-based Visa D can authorise residence and work for up to 180 days. A longer employment stay may require a single residence-and-work permit. The correct route and documents depend on the employment basis and your circumstances.

Employer selection, application preparation and an official visa decision are different stages. Complete the required permissions before travelling for work; a payment or draft invitation is not an approval.

Keep your own email and account access. Do not send a password or one-time security code to an agent, employer or support contact. Upload identity documents through your protected candidate account.

Is a Serbian visa the same as Nepalese labour approval?

No. They are handled by different authorities for different purposes. Confirm the Nepal-side requirements with DoFE as well as the Serbian employment route before booking travel.

Does the service fee guarantee a visa or job?

No. Employers decide whom to hire and the relevant authority decides the visa or permit. Ask about service deliverables and refund conditions before accepting a quotation.

Does permission to work in Serbia cover other European countries?

Do not treat a Serbia programme as a general European work authorisation. For a different destination, check that country’s official route and your eligibility separately.
